Aliese works at our Northcote practice. She is a registered Provisional Psychologist (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychology Society (APS). She has completed her studies in a Master of Applied Psychology, Graduate Diploma of Psychology and Bachelor of Psychological Science. A desire to learn about others’ experiences and passion to improve others’ well-being made psychology a natural career pathway for Aliese. “I want to help others improve their mental wellbeing to be the best they can be,” she says. Aliese has experience working with children, adolescents and young adults with various presenting backgrounds including Autism, ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression and self-esteem issues. Her therapy encapsulates a warm and empathetic style, providing a non-judgmental space where clients can feel accepted, supported, and understood. Drawing from a variety of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness techniques and Narrative Therapy, Aliese individualises her approach for each client based on their specific goals and needs. She is dedicated to helping individuals to improve their mental wellbeing using a holistic approach that explores the mind, body, and soul. Aliese is passionate about working collaboratively with her clients to build strong connections and help lead them to live happy and healthy lives going forward.
