Barbara (she/her) is a registered provisional psychologist and member of the Australian Association of Psychologists. She has completed the Master of Professional Psychology and the Graduate Diploma of Psychology at The University of Melbourne.
Barbara provides an empathetic and non-judgmental space where clients can be heard and accepted. Through a collaborative approach, clients are invited to process experiences, and learn skills which can help make life’s challenges easier to navigate. Barbara assists clients to connect with personal strengths, joy and compassion for self and others. She aims to understand each client within their unique context, and sessions are tailored to suit the client’s needs and goals.
Barbara has worked with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship difficulties, refugee status and neurodiversity. Barbara’s treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness. She is also currently expanding her knowledge of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy.
