Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Assessment with Narisa Vormwald at The Three Seas Psychology

At The Three Seas Psychology, we offer comprehensive Autism Spectrum Disorder ASD assessments with our experienced psychologist, Narisa Vormwald. Our assessment process is designed to provide you with a thorough understanding of your needs, delivered with care and professionalism.

What is Autism and the Value of an ASD Assessment?

Autism, or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a developmental condition that affects communication, behaviour, and social interactions. People with ASD may experience challenges in understanding social cues, forming relationships, or engaging in certain behaviors. These characteristics exist on a spectrum, meaning each individual with ASD may have different strengths and challenges. An ASD assessment is a thorough evaluation conducted by a trained psychologist to determine whether an individual meets the criteria for a diagnosis of autism. The assessment process provides valuable insights into a person’s unique profile, which can help inform support strategies, access to services, and educational or workplace accommodations. Receiving an accurate ASD diagnosis can be empowering, as it often brings clarity to long-standing questions and enables individuals to better understand themselves or their loved ones, leading to more effective support and intervention plans.

ASD Assessment Fees

The fee for your ASD assessment is $2000, which covers both the assessment session and the detailed report. An additional results session will be held via Telehealth:

  • 30-minute results session (before 4pm): $150
  • 30-minute results session (after 4pm): $162.50

Please note:

  • Payment is accepted via cash or credit/debit card (we do not accept AMEX).
  • There is no Medicare rebate available for this service, but you may be eligible for a rebate through private health insurance. Please contact your provider for more information.

Assessment Structure

The ASD assessment lasts approximately 4 hours, including a 1-hour lunch break. The assessment includes:

  • A thorough evaluation conducted by Narisa Vormwald.
  • A detailed report summarizing the findings, which will be provided within approximately 2 weeks after the session, depending on the prompt return of any additional information.
  • A 30-minute results session held via Telehealth to discuss the findings of the assessment.

We aim to gather additional insights from your loved ones as part of the process, but this will only be done with your consent. Narisa will discuss this option with you during your assessment.

Important Information Regarding NDIS and Ongoing Management

While Narisa does not participate in the NDIS application process, the assessment report can be used as supporting documentation for NDIS applications. If the assessment confirms a diagnosis of ASD, the report and results session are sufficient to confirm the diagnosis.

Please note that Narisa Vormwald does not provide ongoing management for ASD. However, The Three Seas Psychology has a team of psychologists who can offer ongoing support and therapy for ASD management.
