Merav is a registered Clinical Psychologist with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. She has extensive local and international experience working with adults across various settings, including community mental health centres, university counselling services, and private practice.
Originally trained overseas in the psychodynamic approach, Merav furthered her expertise by completing an additional three years of specialised training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). This evidence-based approach provides rapid relief from emotional suffering, alleviates symptoms, and fosters a deeper understanding of the self. ISTDP helps uncover and address unconscious emotional patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, self-sabotaging behaviours, and other psychological challenges.
In each therapy session, Merav carefully considers the client’s moment-to-moment levels of anxiety and distress, helping to regulate these responses so the client feels soothed and a healing process can take place.
Merav works at our Richmond practice.
