At The Three Seas Group we value our position as pre-eminent healthcare providers and put in our best efforts to make our services affordable for everyone. With almost half of Australians suffering from mental health issues throughout their lifetime, only 54% of these Australians access treatment. Cost can be a major barrier in enabling access to psychological services, universally. Therefore, we offer a range of services at different costs to ensure all our clients are equal in their opportunities for treatment.

Provisional Psychologist Fee Medicare Rebate Out-of-pocket

For more information about what a provisional psychologist can offer, please refer to our page on low cost counselling. Please also not that provisionally registered psychologists are still undertaking training through a Masters program in Clinical psychology. Although they have studied for 4-5 years (sometimes more) prior, they do not hold the same level of expertise as general and clinically registered psychologists.

All of our psychologists and psychiatrists are registered with AHPRA and can offer a Medicare rebate under the Better Access Scheme. To be eligible for this rebate, a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP: from a GP, Psychiatrist, or Pediatrician) is required; however, you can still access psychological services at a full fee rate if you do not wish to seek a MHCP. You may be eligible for a rebate through your Private Health fund (depending on your extras cover); though this cannot be claimed simultaneously with Medicare.

For more information about Medicare and rebates, please refer to our FAQ’s on the topic.
