About Kate

Kate is a Registered Clinical Psychologist based at The Three Seas Psychology Melbourne CBD clinic, with over eight years of experience in private and community settings. She works exclusively with adults, with a particular focus on people who function well on the outside but feel quietly overwhelmed on the inside, professionals, high-achievers, and anyone carrying more than they let on.

Her clinical interest in trauma developed organically through long-term work with clients, particularly in understanding how the brain and body respond to stress and adversity. If you’ve ever found yourself wondering why you keep reacting the same way despite knowing better, or why certain situations feel disproportionately hard, that’s exactly the kind of question Kate works with. She describes her approach as helping clients piece things together: understanding how past experiences, core beliefs, and nervous system responses are shaping what’s happening in your life right now.

In sessions, Kate is warm, gentle and encouraging, while also being willing to offer a meaningful challenge when that’s what’s needed. Clients often describe her as someone who helps organise scattered or overwhelming thoughts, creates a calm and grounded space, and connects emotional experiences to what’s happening in the body. She draws on Schema Therapy and CBT, alongside psychoeducation to help clients understand what’s actually happening neurologically when stress, anxiety or trauma show up.

Kate doesn’t apply a one-size-fits-all model. She takes time to understand how your mind works, what you’ve already tried, and what naturally resonates with you — then works alongside you to clarify goals that align with your values and strengths. Many clients find that simply understanding how their brain and body respond to stress or trauma is a turning point. From there, therapy becomes about building new patterns with greater self-awareness and, over time, greater self-compassion.

Kate consults from The Three Seas Psychology CBD clinic in Melbourne and works with adults seeking evidence-based, insight-oriented therapy for trauma, anxiety, depression and longstanding emotional patterns.
