VCAT Support

Victims who may need support

If you experienced harm or misconduct

We are deeply sorry for the harm experienced by those affected.

We recognise the courage it can take to speak about misconduct by a health professional, particularly where the relationship involved trust, vulnerability and care. We also understand that reporting concerns, reading media coverage, or revisiting past experiences can be distressing.

If you were affected by the conduct of this former practitioner, you can contact The Three Seas Psychology confidentially. We can help you understand available support options, assist with referral pathways, and provide information about how concerns can be raised with the appropriate regulator.

You do not need to have reported your experience previously to contact us now.

Previous clients who did not experience misconduct but may be confronted by the news

If you were a previous client and feel unsettled by the news

Some former clients may not have experienced any misconduct but may still feel shocked, confused, distressed or uncertain after reading recent media coverage.

These reactions are understandable. News of this nature can affect people’s sense of safety, trust, and confidence in therapy, even where their own experience did not involve inappropriate conduct.

If you were previously seen by this practitioner and would like to talk through any concerns, request support, or understand your options for future care, you are welcome to contact us confidentially.

We can help you access a different psychologist, provide information about support pathways, or assist you in deciding what next step feels right for you.

Request support or information

Clients who may have experienced misconduct but have not reported it

If you are now questioning a past experience

You may be reading the recent coverage and wondering whether something you experienced in therapy was inappropriate.

You may be unsure whether what happened “counts” as misconduct. You may not have felt able to report it at the time, or you may have tried to move on from it. These are common responses, especially where concerns involve a trusted health professional.

If something about your experience did not feel right, you are welcome to contact us confidentially. You do not need to have a formal complaint prepared, and you do not need to be certain about what happened before asking for support.

We can listen, help you understand support options, and provide information about how concerns can be raised with AHPRA if you choose to do so. AHPRA accepts concerns from anyone about a registered practitioner.
